Zammuto, named after the surname of front man Nick Zammuto (as well as his brother Mikey), is the four piece Vermont-native rock band consisting of Sean Dixon on drums, Nick Oddy on electric guitar and keyboards, Mikey Zammuto on bass, and Nick himself on guitar, vocals, and keyboards. Starting out as a founding member of The Books, Nick Zammuto began to record computer-central music on his own, experimenting with atmospheric sounds and texture. His first release, Willscher, dropped in the year 2000. The early sound of Zammuto is markedly different from his later works. Most notably, in 2012 he recruited the 3 members who make up the band today in order to take a more rock oriented approach to the music. This sound has served them well and the group have gone on to release the self-titled album Zammuto in 2012 and Anchor in 2014. Here we have a video of a live performance from Zammuto playing “Zebra Butt” at Signal Kitchen and a full audio recording of their live set.
