Steve Gunn – Live Audio – 10.26.15

Coming from Brooklyn, New York, guitarist/singer/songwriter/producer Steve Gunn brought his particularly rare blend of meditative folk, world and country-infused musical creations to Signal Kitchen in October. Gunn draws from a variety of influences outside of the immediately apparent, including everything from funk to psychedelia, rock, and classical Indian music. His passion for a wide variety of music is evidenced by the depth of his catalog, which spans 7 years and a dozen solo, collaborative, and split album releases alongside an EP and several singles that are all bursting at the seams with subtle musical clues that point to a host of creative influences from around the world. His latest release, titled Seasonal Hire, came out in February of this year and is a collaborative work with the Appalachian old-time band The Black Twig Pickers.
