Sk & Discover Jazz Fest Present: Georgia Anne Muldrow

Coming to us from Los Angeles, California, Georgia Anne Muldrow (aka Ms. One, aka Jyoti), will bring her deep, free-spirited and soulful vibes to Signal kitchen to share with Burlington for the first time. Muldrow has been releasing her modern and experimental blend of funk, soul, hip-hop, R&B, and jazz for nearly a decade. Her career, while still blossoming, has seen an impressive amount of creative output with 14 full albums and a fist full of EPs, mixtapes, and singles. She has released on nearly as many labels, including the critically acclaimed Stones Throw Records as well as her own label SomeOthaShip Connect, which she founded in 2008 alongside the artist Dudley Perkins. Muldrow’s next album A Thoughtiverse Unmarred will be released May 19 by Mello Music Group. We are excited and honored to hear it live. As if this wasn’t exciting enough, Signal kitchen is thrilled to be assembling a cast of all-star Vermont musicians to accompany Muldrow in her performance. This will be a wonderfully unique and collaborative night unable to be heard anywhere else.
