North Carolina soul artist Lee Fields has been releasing music since 1969. The breadth and depth of his 40+ year career truly make him a wonderful artist to experience. Surprisingly, Fields has consistently managed to continue to refine and innovate many elements of soul and funk over the course of his many releases. Since the start of his career, Fields has toured with such notable acts as Kool and the Gang, Sammy Gordon and the Hip-Huggers, O.V. Wright, Darrel Banks, and Little Royal. Fields and his band, the Expressions, came to Burlington to record a live music video in the studios of Signal Kitchen for their track titled “Let’s Talk It Over,” from the identically titled album. In addition to the video shoot, the group performed in front of a sold out crowd at our venue as part of the Burlington Discover Jazz Festival.
