Trixie Whitley (with band)

Born in Ghent, Belgium, Trixie Whitley’s life has taken her around the world, splitting her childhood in New York and Belgium with spurts of time in Mexico, Texas, and France. Her music tells the tales of a life full of unique experiences, for better or worse. She’s been quoted as saying “I’m from everywhere but have never felt like I belong,” and has often cited her inspiration as based on four intensely intrinsic emotions: utter love, total rage, unadulterated happiness, and crippling loneliness. With a yearning in her voice, she presents a soulfully crafted take on alternative rock, wrapped in the familiar, yet still heart-rending blanket of the blues. Her lyrical ideas penetrate with the emotional honesty of a brilliant storyteller as they confidently drift through poignantly beautiful melodies brought to life on the guitar and piano.
