The Virginia Beach born and New Orleans based Benjamin Booker is truly a unique musician. At just 25 years old, Booker effortlessly embodies the spirit of ages past, while his modern perspective carries his music into the future. His raw, energetic blend of blues, punk, and garage rock is a refreshing reminder of the classic era of rock and roll with a focus on musicianship and real emotion rather than over-production and trendiness. Booker’s music cannot merely be thought of as a revival of any specific genre, as his influences span an entire generation of music all the way to the present. Each song is a masterful mixture of style and technique that is as rare as it is complex. Booker’s debut, self-titled album was released in the summer of 2014 to critical acclaim, while 2015 will see a vinyl-exclusive live release titled Live at Third Man Records.
