Villanelles is a rock band from Burlington, Vermont. The band is comprised of guitarist Tristan Baribeau, bassist John Rogone, and brothers Zane and Seth Gundersen on keyboard and drums, with all members contributing on vocals.
Villanelles play original songs that blend many styles and influences, including but not limited to: prog, punk, indie rock, jazz, Fleetwood Mac, Rage Against the Machine, and many more in between.
Readers of weekly Vermont news publication Seven Days voted Villanelles “Best New Band” in 2010, and the band performed at Grace Potter’s Grand Point North festival in 2014.
Villanelles new EP, “No Drinks on Me,” was recorded in April 2015 at Signal Kitchen’s remote recording studio in the Northeast Kingdom, Vermont. The EP features four new original songs, including their new single “Personal Clubhouse,” and one song by the legendary band Supergrass. “No Drinks on Me” will start streaming online on November 22, 2015.
