Julian Lage (trio)

Born in Santa Rosa, California, jazz guitarist and composer Julian Lage is out of the ordinary. He is considered by many to have been a child prodigy, giving his first public performance at age six. His astounding talent is, and has always been, so apparent that he became the subject of Jules at Eight, a 1997 Academy Award-nominated documentary. He has performed with legendary artists such as David Grisman, Pat Metheny, Toots Thielemans, Martin Taylor, Béla Fleck, Carlos Santana, and many more. Along with leading his trio, Lage has formed a duo with Chris Eldridge and also plays in Gary Burton’s New Quarter and Eric Harland’s Voyager. His latest work, World’s Fair, was released in 2015 and marks the first solo guitar album of his career.
